Welcome to House of Prayer and Evangelism Ministries, affectionately known as HOPE Ministries. Established in obedience to God’s call to minister in Central Alabama, we are a beacon of light and hope in our community and beyond. Led by our devoted pastors, Walker Barnes Jr. and Stephanie Barnes, who have shared 28 years of marriage and 20+ years of ministry together. We embrace the transformative power of the Holy Ghost and are committed to seeing lives changed and souls saved.
Christ Centered
Christ is the foundation of our ministry. Through our Christ-centered approach, bible teaching, and evangelism , we share the "unsearchable riches of Christ..." Eph 3:8. We aim to help individuals encounter the living Christ and grow in their understanding of His love, grace, and truth.
Spirit Filled
Our ministry is characterized by a reliance on the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Ghost in all that we do. From our worship services to our outreach efforts, we seek to operate in alignment with the word of God, allowing His presence to lead, guide, and empower us for Kingdom work.
Kingdom Building
We believe that the kingdom of God is not only a future reality, but also a present one that can be experienced through the power of the Holy Sprit in Christ Jesus. Our goal is to offer hope to those who are hurting, show love to those who feel unloved, and share the message of redemption and restoration to a broken world.
